WEIGHT

TAME CARGO accepts packages with a maximum weight of 100 kg each concerning divisible merchandise.
Regarding indivisible cargo as machinery, engines, etc., TAME can carry a maximum weight of 250 kg, as long as, dimensions do not exceed the resistance limit of the aircraft holds’ floors and cargo is anchored to a weight distributing platform. It is required prior coordination and the authorization of the Head of TAME Cargo’s office to transport such cargo.

DIMENSIONS  

Considering that TAME operates with different types of aircraft and these have in turn different capacities and dimensions, it is necessary to check whether the cargo’s size allows it to be transported to certain destination according to the flight crew. For information purposes, you will find below a table showing the dimensions of the aircraft holds’ doors of TAME.

PACKAGING

The protective packing can be built with different materials, such as:  wood, cardboard, metal, paper, fabric, etc. It must be resistant to transport handling, stacking and stowage.

• Due to weight limitation factors registered in aircraft take-off at certain airports in the country, transportation of cargo is subject to the availability of this variable.
• To transport your cargo on domestic flights, TAME requires it at least an hour and a half prior to our published departure itinerary.
• Because we offer combined flights (passenger and cargo), you have several options to send and receive packages on the same day.
• TAME does not accept and is not responsible for the transportation of money, jewelry, documents or valuables, as well as, in cases of misrepresentation of belongings and confiscation by Ecuadorian authorities.
• The civil liability limit of TAME regarding cargo transportation is up to USD 20 per kg, as stated by international treaties. The sender must pay an insurance premium in the air waybill equivalent to 0.5% of the value to recognize as compensation (USD 0,10 x kg).
• Perishable articles, fragile items, press and animals are carried at risk of the sender. TAME is not responsible for damages in merchandise or death of animals during the flight or until they are picked up.
• Any complaint made by the sender or addressee because of damage, destruction or partial or total loss of the goods delivered on transportation must be submitted in writing to TAME within 14 days after realizing the incident and reporting to the person or entity entitled to claim. TAME won’t receive any claim out of time.
• TAME does not transport explosive substances and articles, gases, flammable liquids or solids, combustible substances and organic peroxides, toxic and infectious substances, radioactive or corrosive materials, and other articles comprising one or more of the above, except for those fulfilling the regulations of documentation, quantities, packing, labeling, and other requirements specified on Annex 18 ICAO and its Technical Instructions Document 9284 or on IATA current regulations.
